Covered
物理上指表面被遮住(snow-covered);事件语境指“涉及、包含”(the topic is covered);保险里表示“在保障范围内”(Are we covered?)。
- “The field was covered in white blossoms after the rain.”
- “Make sure your laptop is covered against theft when you travel.”
- “She was covered with mud after the hike.”
口语 “I’ve got you covered” 表示“我来搞定、你不用操心”。
- 固定搭配: “covered in” (满是……), “covered with” (覆盖着……), “fully covered” (全额保障)
“The picnic table was covered with a cloth to keep the sandwiches clean.”
